Wildflowers Preservation & Conservation

This festival started with the efforts of few insightful Crested Butte locals who had a vision of celebration with wildflower. This festival is one of the most beautiful celebrations in Colorado.

The mission of Crested Butte Wildflower Festical Inc. is to be dedicated for the preservation and appreciation of wildflowers through education and conservation. They are committed to protect these priceless natural botanical resources for the next generations and even beyond that.

Apart from visitor registrations, volunteers are also welcome. Volunteers earn five Blossom Bucks for every hour volunteered, which is redeemed for merchandise at the Blossom Boutique at the festival after the first four hours. For Wildflower Identification Guide, volunteers earn $20 on each tour on a walk or wagon ride.

Apart from this, Crested Butte residents can also apply for scholarships if they find the cost of the festival events beyond their reach.

Hurry up! Register as early as possible. Online registration for the festival will be ending by July 3rd (Friday) at 5:00 p.m. MST.

Celebrate Start Of Summer With CKS Paddle Fest 2009

CKS Paddle Fest 2009 is going to start from May 22 and will continue till May 25 in Buena Vista. Following are the few reasons why one should attend this festival:

2009 CKS Paddlefest And BV Pro Rodeo

The first reason is that CKS Paddle Fest is the only River Festival where one can paddle at and not just watch it. One will discover many educational courses and free clinics. One may also enter the The Keen Unsponsored Radeo and test their mettle against many other freestyle paddlers.

The next reason why one should be there is because the BV Pro Rodeo is taking place at the same time. One can watch local legends such as Dustin Urban, Jed Selby, Katie-Selby Urban and also Andre-Spino Smith rip it up in one of the largest cash prize rodeos. To give you a pinch of information, last year the defending champ Dustin Urban did well in the world. Let us find out this time at the fest whether he will be able to stave off paddlers such as Eric Jackson, Clay Wright, Stepthen Wright, Nick Troutmnan, Andrew Holcombe, Dan Gavere and Bryan Kirk?

BV Paddle Fest, Colorado

Ah! One more big reason. All Movie Premiers are free there. Yes, don’t forget. There is also a wicked, humongous, massively huge Store wide sale.

So, see you there.
