Denver U.S. Mint Tour - Reservations are required for all tours at the Denver Mint. You can make
your reservation through the website or by visiting the reservation booth at the Denver Mint Visitor Center located on Cherokee Street between 14 Avenue and Colfax Avenue in Denver. This tour requires planning! It’s a very popular and secured attraction so making your reservations up to 2 months in advance is recommended. They do accept walk-ins but it’s on a first come first serve basis and there is no guarantee that you will get a spot on the tour. It is also very important that you arrive 15 minutes early, since late arrivals will not be allowed to take the tour. Make sure to call (303)405-4759 before your tour to make sure no changes have been made to the schedule. Since this is such a secured facility many things can occur that will result in the Mint closing. Keep in mind that if Homeland Security elevates the U.S. to CODE ORANGE or higher the mint will close to the public.
You will be required to pass through security similar to the check point in an airport. Photography, smoking, eating and drinking are not allowed in the building. Visit the website to get an updated list of prohibited items. The Mint does not have storage facilities and they will not wait for you to return to your car to leave your items behind.
