A very cool and new development with the Nintendo Wii system is the Mii Channel. You are now able to create your won avatar using the Mii System. The Online Mii channel will be launching soon to allow users to share their avatars and also will be able to vote on each others avatars. People and especially Wii users really enjoy having the ability to create avatar models of them selves they are also able to create avatars for their friends, families to create a more real environment. Nintendo Wii has increased the amount of games that allow users to create their own avatars using the Mii channel will help build more users. It seems like Nintendo Wii will be able to incorporate these avatars in the popular online virture worlds like World of War Craft, Sims Online, Ultima Online and EverQuest and even the Online Virtual world, Second Life. The Mii system has a lot of improvements to make first like incorporate better design tools and increase the graphics of the avatars but the possibilities for the Nintendo Wii and Mii System are endless.The Mii system will make users spend their time to create avatars with all of the characteristics they need to enter and play the video games. It seems Mii System is using the Second Life way of creating their own tools or gadgets from game to game, or platform to platform. Having the avatars able to be customized in this manner, different avatars with various configurations of features, accessories, spells, and so forth can be saved on the game box like the Wii. If the Mii avatar can be made to apply in a wider variety of game applications, including online MMORG environments, then it will be an interesting success.
The one big concern is incorporating the Mii system from system to system and game to game. But the advantages of having an avatar with all of the attributes, accessories, and additions one wants ready, before entering the game’s environment to participate is clear. The ability to carry acquisitions found in one game by the avatar into another game is also interesting. A lot of new possibilities for video game development exist in the further expansion of the Mii avatar on the Nintendo Wii gaming system, and into other platforms.
