Top 5 Ski resorts in Colorado
Colorado ski areas averages more than 300 inches per year of snow. To a true skier that equal tons and tons of high quality pure powder. Colorado is home to more than 25 ski resorts and around 8 of these are world class resorts. If your undecided on where you want take your next winter vacation, look no further than Colorado’s Ski Resorts. I have listed for you 5 of my favorite. Breckenridge, Colorado
Breckenridge is around an hour and half drive away. It is known as one of Colorado’s top ski resort. With 2,000 acres of ski-able terrain you will have no trouble finding a different run to ride. Breckenridge terrain can be great for beginners but also enough backcountry for the more experienced skier.
Aspen, Colorado
Although, Aspen is more known as the home of the rich and famous, it is now becoming the top ski resorts for people of all income. With an airport no less than 10 minutes away you could be on the slopes within minutes of you touching down. With four great mountains and over five thousand acres of land perfect for skiing, you are sure to have the ski adventure of your dreams in Aspen, Colorado.
Vail, Colorado
Vail, Colorado is commonly referred to as North Americas Premier Resort Community, and there is good reason for that. With over five thousand acres of land perfect for all levels of ski and breathtaking views, Vail is considered paradise for ski lovers.
Crested Butte, Colorado
Although off the beaten path, Crested Butte is a top Colorado ski resort. Crested Butte is ideal for the more experienced skier so if you’re a beginner please try one of the other ski resorts I have listed.
Steamboat Springs, Colorado
Steamboat is slowly becoming the next Vail or Aspen. It is a little off the beaten path but well worth the travel time. Steamboat is located about 3 hours from Denver but the drive is bar none one of the best drives in the world. Once you come over that last mountain top and see Steamboat in the valley below you will know why you planned your vacation here. Steamboat has 6 mountain ranges and around 3,000 acres of ski able land. Steamboat should be on top of your list of ski destinations. Whether you are ready to hop right on the slopes or improve your skiing techniques, you are able to do so at the Steamboat resort in Colorado. The Steamboat resort area is commonly referred to as “Ski Town, U.S.A.”
