White Water Rafting on the San Miguel River, Telluride, Colorado

White Water Rafting ColoradoJust 15 minutes from Telluride and 45 minutes from Ouray lies one of Colorado’s least known, but most spectacular river. The San Miguel River is a tributary of the Dolores River, approximately 90 miles long in southwestern Colorado in the United States. My favorite thing to do on the San Miguel River is to raft it! The San Miguel River offers rafters and kayakers Class II to III trips to enjoy. The family can enjoy a pleasant 7-mile run down the River’s Class II-III waters, without any major drops or gradients. There are two rafting companies to choose from that service the San Miguel River. One is located in Durango, CO called Mild to Wild Rafting & Jeep Tours and the other one is out of Nathrop, CO called Dvoraks Kayak and Rafting Expeditions, Inc.
