Mount Elbert, highest peak in Rockies is 14,440 feet above the sea level. The best part of the Rockies is its climate. The average yearly temperature is 43 degree Farenheit. The hottest month is July when the average temperature goes up to 82 degree Farenheit, where as coldest month, January has the average temperature of about 7 degree Farenheit. This is why people love skiing at Rockies, especially in cold season.
