UCD, the shortened form of University of Colorado Denver, is a public university and is one of the three schols of University of Colorado system. There are two campuses in the university, one at the Anschutz Medical Campus, located at Aurora and the other one in Downtown, Denver, at Auraria Campus. The Aurora Campus is the main medical campus.

Campus at Downtown has both Graduate and Undergraduate courses. At present, there are around 27,000 students pursuing their education in both the campuses. The university conducts online classes as well, via CU Online. There are over 100 degree programs in 12 colleges and schools. UCD awards over 3,400 degrees every year, and allots more graduate degrees comparing to any other educational institution in Colorado.

Moreover, the university is one top organisation to employ more than 10,000 people in Denver, Colorado. The UCD serves a minimum of 500,000 patients every year, by its clinical and hospital services. The Anschutz medical campus is undergoing a renovation at the cost of $4.3 Billion.
