From June 18 to 21 FIBArk will be hosting the 2009 USA Wildwater National Championships in their 61st annual FIBArk White Water festival in Salida.

According to the new plans, the sprint will be run through the Upper and Lower Cottonwood on the 18th. It is 22 miles East of Salida on the Highway 50. On the 19th the Classic will be held at the Whitewater Park in downtown Salida. Its about 4 miles race and will finish up at downstream below Bear Creek rapid.
The registration and the lodging of Sprint are arranged at Bighorn RV Park in the Coaldale. It is some 20 miles East of Salida. If one travels east on the Highway 50, the park can be located on the Eastern edge of Coaldale on the left.
Registration starts from 7 hours and from 9:30 hours the race will start. The contestants will be taken by shuttle to the launch sites after the heats. The Classic will be starting from 10 hours.
Last year this event was one of the best FIBArk’s in 60 years. This year also the organizer are expecting it to be one of the best weekends of the summer.
