Colorado is one of the only states I haven’t been to. Which is a shame because I’m kinda outdoorsy and have always wanted to go fly-fishing there. But I also like some comforts for my increasingly creaky bones. The Loews hotel looks like a good base for exploration.
Andy, To those of us who’ve lived here in the Colorado Rockies for a long time, it seems there’s more to do outdoors than inside. And fly-fishing is one of the favorite items on the list. Guides and outfitters around Vail can fill you in and take you out to fish or send you on your way with a map. Try this link: http://vail.funafar.com/Vail-CO/Activities/Fly-Fishing/392/
The photos of the Loews Hotel in this blog are inviting. When you venture up to the high country, take a look around Vail and try a hotel in the village or a little further west in Beaver Creek. This Web site has suggestions: http://vail.funafar.com/Vail-CO/Dining-Nightlife/Resort-Lodging/481/
And let me know what you think of Colorado’s mountains. Rosie
