Depending on the weather, the reopening of the Breckenridge Fun Park is from 19th of June’ 09.  I have got a very informative map of the Fun Park which you can see. Though the fun at the Fun Park cannot be penned down to its full extent i have just listed some of the things below :

Historic Royal Gorge Route Railroad Trip

The Historic Gorge Royal Route offers six classes of service with an unforgettable experience in Colorado with every price range. The train runs on every Saturdays and Sundays. The 2009 season of this romantic culinary experience has already begun from March 14th.

There are seventeen meticulously restored vintage rail cars in this historic Gorge Royal Route. Following are the list of classes:

Coach – It offers visitors the comfort of seating with good views and full service bar. For adult it is $32.95 and child only #21.50. It is free for kids below 3.

Vista Dome – It is reserved seating in a glass-topped dome car for great views of the gorge. Visitors are offered breakfast and lunch. Adult: $57.95 Child: $46.50

San Isabel Nation forest located in central Colorado has 2 campgrounds for horse sites and 4 assigned trails for horseback riding. Alvarado Campground allows 24 people in its 3 horse camping sites. It is advised to carry a emergency poncho along with you, to secure you from afternoon thunderstorms that are highly common. In North Colorado, Jacks Gulch campground provides 5 horse camping sites for riding. Visitors to this campground enjoy other services such as fishing, bicycling, hiking and observing wildlife, especially varieties of birds. You cannot enjoy horse camping in Colorado state park alone. Vega State park has access to miles of trails for horse riding. If you are a big lover of horse riding, pay a visit to some of the above parks.

The Best Scenic drive in Colorado - Mt Evans Colorado byway

Mt Evans ColoradoWell maybe not the best scenic drive ever but at least one of the best. Mt Evans Scenic drive surely will impress you from the very start to the end. You will have many things to see on the 14 Miles of driving from breathtaking scenery to animals like the Big Horn Sheep and the Pika. For things to do in Colorado this has to rank in your top 10 for sure. There is a parking lot at the end of the 14 miles but you are still not at the very top of Mt. Evans. You still have 130 ft of hiking to go. Please be careful if your not used to the altitude. Visit our Altitude Sickness post so you know what signs to look at for.
