To help Christmas Unlimited realize it objective this year, a benefit concert will be held on December 13, 2008 to support its 2008 toy drive. The concert will be held at Sand Creek High School. Live performances from Saving Daylight and Sims will rock the stage down. Colorado music scene has its own dose of amazing bands and melody that will surely conquer Colorado by storm. With Saving Daylight and Sims on the stage, for sure it will be a total well-deserved concert to watch.

Cost for the admission? Just bring a new and unwrapped toy.

The Shape Up Across Colorado is a program which helps residents evaluate their level of physical activities everyday.

The decrease of level of physical activity of a person every year will increase the childhood obesity rate. With this, this program was created for every individual one of all ages to encourage themselves in daily physical activities for at least 30 minutes in a day.

What are the benefits of this shape up program?

1. Shape Up is with the initiative participation of schools kids from rural areas to executives or high class people in Denver. Its consistent goal, according to Surgeon Generals recommendation, is to have 10,000 steps a day for physical health optimization.

2. This program offers many different, specifically 37, kinds of physical activities such as gardening, walking, swimming to playing soccer are listed on the participant’s card.

3. This program is easy to get to do to people of different ages, levels of ability, and income brackets. It is for free so that everyone can afford and participate. The cost that is accumulated in the program are some optional purchases like T-shirts, and hats. Grants are awarded to selected participating schools in the form of equipment or cash.

The most important goal of the program is to make everyone healthy and even healthier so that one can easily cope up with their daily living, away from sickness and away from disabilities.

Estes Park Holiday Parade

This event will happen on the 28th of November 2008. Activities during daytime will begin at noon and the parade begins at 5:30 p.m. Take note, all activities are for free so start inviting your friends and family to attend to this magnificent magical holiday celebration.

Festival of Wreath

Recently, Aurora History Museum started a fund raising for the Aurora Museum Foundation featuring festive, artistically ornamented wreaths. This event is sponsored by organizations, local businesses, and individuals. The wreaths can also be bought through auction held during presentation of exhibits. This can be a great holiday decoration gift for your family and friends. This event started in November 4, 2008 and it will last on December 12, 2008.

If you are planning to visit the museum, The Aurora History Museum is amid on the northwest bend of Alameda and Chambers on Alameda Drive, in the Aurora Municipal Center Campus. They are open from Tuesday to Friday at 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday to Sunday at 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Aurora History Museum constantly brings in different approaches, either scientific or fictional. You can see a selection of fascinating exhibits in Colorado and the history of the city of Aurora.
